Brian grew up on a farm in west-central Wisconsin, where he continues to be actively involved in management of the family farm. He graduated with a BS in Agronomy from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Prior to starting AgPerspective Inc. in 2003, Brian worked for Dow Agro Sciences for six years. His passion is to seek ways to provide value to clients and to under promise and over deliver. He is the President/CEO of AgPerspective Inc.. In his free time he enjoys being with his family. He and his wife Krystal are the proud parents to four girls.
Katie Wetzell graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2004 with a degree in Marketing. She worked in public relations for a few years before joining AgPerspective Inc. in 2006. She has been in her underwriting position since starting with AgPerspective and has a passion for assisting our clients with their business needs. Katie lives in Morrison, IL with her two daughters.
Commodity Broker/Market Advisor
Michael graduated from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois where he played four years of Division III football in addition to receiving B.A. degrees in both Management and Marketing. He grew up in Wyanet, Illinois where his family is deeply rooted in the agriculture industry. Prior to joining AgPerspective, Michael gained professional experience working with a creative marketing agency, local grain elevator, and his father’s fertility consulting business. Interested in utilizing his degrees and agricultural background, Michael joined the AgPerspective team in 2015 as a crop insurance underwriter and commodity broker. Michael focuses on helping clients target opportunities while managing risk on an individual basis. Away from work, Michael enjoys watching sports, golfing, working out, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Paula was raised on a grain and livestock farm in Polo, IL. She married her high school sweetheart Kevin and they have 2 wonderful daughters, Ashlan and Kristin, both of whom have graduated college. Paula worked in law enforcement for 16 years before joining AgPerspective. Kevin served in the US Navy and after his honorable discharge, accepted a position with the IL Dept. of Transportation. They also farm and raise beef cattle. Paula plays an active role in the day to day farming operation and enjoys running equipment and working with the cattle.
Angie Montague has worked for Agperspective Inc. since August 15, 2012. Prior to coming to work at AgPerspective she worked 18 years in the Commercial Hotel Construction industry for a General Contractor/Construction Management office where she did accounts payable and construction draw funding for over 50 hotels projects. Her current position as Administrative Assistant includes receptionist duties, accounts payable/accounts receivable, grain contract entry and settlements, organizing office meetings and functions and assists with maintaining client accounts. Even though the agricultural industry is new to her she brings many years of business and office experience to the position. Her outside interests include traveling with her husband and finding treasures at antique and flea market sales.
Ron graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Agriculture Industries. He has been working in the business of Crop Insurance and Marketing since 2007. Prior to this, he worked as a grain merchandiser for Bunge Corporation at Louisiana, Missouri. He continues be very active in his family farming operation. Ron and his wife, Lori, have three children; Brock, Brendan, and Tasha. He enjoys spending his time away from work with his family, attending their church and extra-curricular events. He has served on the Board of Education of the Princeville School District for the past five years. “I have a passion for consulting farmers on their marketing, crop insurance, and other management decisions. The business decisions in farming have always peaked my interest.”
David is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Ag Systems Management and has been working in the business of Crop Insurance and Marketing since 2007. Prior to this, he worked for 20 years in the seed industry in research, production, operations and sales. This experience, along with his roots growing up on a grain and livestock farm in Northwest Indiana, gives David a firm understanding of the agriculture industry and the challenges growers face. As an Account Manager for AgPerspective, David plays a vital role in helping farmers maximize their profit potential, and has a track record of developing deep relationships and being a great resource to his clients. David and his wife, Diana, have one son Spencer. He enjoys time away from work at sporting events and boating with the family. “The thing that drives me is the opportunity to serve and consult with farmers in the areas of brokerage, merchandising, and crop insurance. The way AgPerspective ties all three together is very exciting.”
Scott was born and raised on a grain and livestock farm in Central Illinois. Upon graduation from Illinois State University, he spent over three years with ADM in a variety of cities and settings. In 2002, Scott moved to Northern Illinois and became the grain merchant for Michlig AgriCenter. After ten and a half years with Michlig, he traded in his elevator hat to join the AgPerspective team. Scott oversees the AgPerspective grain business and its licenses in the states of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin as well as helping merchandise grain for clients in those three states. He currently serves as the 2nd Vice President of the Grain & Feed Association of Illinois, the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Sauk Valley Community College, and coaches his daughters’ softball teams. His wife, Aimee, is a high school counselor at Bureau Valley High School, and they are the proud parents of two daughters, Kyra and Katelyn.
Grain Accounting Specialist
Kimberly grew up on a family farm just outside of La Moille, Illinois. She is a graduate of IVCC where she earned her Associate in Arts, along with two Accounting certificates. Prior to joining AgPerspective, Kimberly worked in the grain business for more than 17 years, 14 of which were spent at Cargill as an Accounting CSR and 3 at Northern Partners Cooperative. Her and her husband, Craig, reside in Peru with their daughter, Hope. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and watching their beloved Cubbies, Bears, and Blackhawks!
Commodity Broker/Market Advisor
Kevin grew up on a farm near La Moille, Illinois. He graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1989 and served 23 years on active duty. While in the Air Force, Kevin served as a fighter pilot, strategic planner, and commander. He retired as a Colonel in 2012 and returned to the farm with his family. He worked as a farm marketer and crop insurance agent with Cargill for over three years before joining AgPerspective as a market advisor in February 2016. Kevin leverages his broad range of experience to help growers develop and execute successful risk management strategies for their operation.
Amber was raised in rural Stillman Valley, IL where she developed a love for agriculture which stems from growing up in a farm family, raising grain, beef cattle, and hogs. Showing livestock in 4-H and FFA is a family tradition that became a huge part of her childhood. After graduating college with her Office Professional degree she is excited to now serve in the agriculture industry through AgPerspective. Amber enjoys spending time her free time with her friends and family including her children, Wesley and Hailey.
Mallory grew up in Polo, IL, where her family is actively engaged in the agricultural industry. In 2016, she graduated from the Southern Illinois University College of Agricultural Sciences with a degree in Agribusiness Economics. Mallory first started working for AgPerspective as a summer intern during college. After graduation, she returned to the company to fulfill the role as a Client Account Representative. She works closely with clients to assist them with their crop insurance and marketing plans.
Greg grew up on his family’s farm raising hogs and cattle. He attended Illinois Central College with a degree in Ag Business Management. After college he worked on a large farm where he managed the grain elevator. He started in the Crop Insurance Business in 2007 and has a passion for helping farmers with crop insurance and marketing decisions. Greg came to AgPerspective in 2014. He is still actively involved with the farming operation. Greg and his wife Ann Marie have four boys. Greg enjoys spending time with his family and working with his dad on their farm. He coaches 7th grade basketball at Peoria Christian.
Bio: Jim grew up on his family’s farm in Rochelle IL. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in agronomy in 1996. After graduating college Jim returned to the family farm where he continues to be very actively involved in all aspects of their farming operation. Jim has been working in the crop Insurance Industry since 2009. When he isn’t working, he can usually be found either coaching or attending one of his son’s sporting events. Jim and his wife, Missy, are proud parents of three boys, Garrett, Grant, and Tyler.
Haley grew up in Dixon, Illinois where she watched AgPerspective Inc. begin and grow. During high school she began some small work in the office and developed an interest in the hospitality side of the business. She moved to Redding, CA in 2015, where she attended Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, and worked for Marriott hotels. After graduating her second year of ministry in 2017, she continued her hospitality education at Shasta College. And in 2019 she rejoined the AgPerspective team as receptionist, assisting with insurance underwriting and general office duties. Away from work she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Andrew is a husband, father, and a farmer. He graduated from Illinois State University with a BS degree in Ag Business. He grew up south of Ashton, IL on a crop production farm. He understands what it is like to endure the stress of a farming operation. He also knows that when a farm is hedged correctly and profitable it can help relieve some of that stress. His objective is to look at ways to increase income, as well as protect income for ag producers. He started his career working for a grain elevator, followed by a sales role with a Case IH dealership in Amboy, IL. When selling equipment, the goal is to convince farmers to spend their money. He wanted to shift his focus to helping them earn more and save more. That is what lead him to Ag Perspective. He has joined our team helping deal in crop insurance and grain market consulting. He hopes to reach as many farmers as possible to help spread Ag Perspective’s mission.
